Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering (archive)

EE/CprE 494 is a course all electrical and computer engineering students are required to take. In this class, you will make a portfolio that contains examples of both technical and non-technical skills. The portfolio will showcase samples of your best work to illustrate your competencies to faculty and/or prospective employers. The process of creating the portfolio also gives you the opportunity to reflect on your time at Iowa State.

You can create your portfolio online, on CD, or in hard copy format. You will want to keep documents, awards, and examples of work (such as class projects) throughout your undergraduate career.

It is recommended you take this course the semester before you graduate.
