If you have a disability and require accommodations, please contact the instructor early in the semester so that your learning needs may be appropriately met. You will need to provide documentation of your disability to the Disability Resources (DR) office, located on the main floor of the Student Services Building, Room 1076, 515-294-7220.
Each ISU catalog states what you must do to pursue and complete a degree at Iowa State. Each catalog has its own requirements for achieving a degree; these requirements may change between catalogs.
NOTE: Students officially can change the catalog they are following. The student must be aware of the program differences and meet with an advisor.
Each catalog discusses classes offered at Iowa State at that time. Over the years, course numbers may change, new courses may be offered, and others go away. While your catalog represents the basic rules you must follow to acquire your degree, you also must pay attention to the most recent course offerings from your department.
If courses required for your catalog are no longer offered, the department finds alternatives for you to fulfill your requirements. Check the flowcharts or talk to your advisor for more information on how course changes might affect your catalog.
