National Security Agency Stokes Educational Scholarship Program
The NSA Stokes Educational Scholarship Program is open to high school seniors and some college sophomores. Covers tuition and fees, textbooks, housing and travel expenses during summer internship. Provides paid summer internship at NSA. Deadline: November 30

SMART Scholarship for Service Program
The U.S. Department of Defense's Science, Mathematics, and Research for Transformation (SMART) Scholarships for Service Program for undergraduates covers tuition and fees, provides a cash award of $25,000 to $41,000, offers paid summer internships, mentoring, employment placement after graduation, and more. Must be U.S. citizen. Deadline: December 1

Hispanic Scholarship Fund
The Hispanic Scholarship Fund offers several different scholarships for high school seniors and undergraduate students. Deadline: Most are due December 15

U.S. Department of Homeland Security Scholarships
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security Scholarship program covers tuition and fees, as well as provides a $1,000 per month stipend during the academic year and $5,000 for a required 10-week summer internship. Awards are for two years. Preference given to first and second year students. Must be U.S. citizen to apply. Deadline: January 5

IEEE-USA's Student Video Scholarship Contest
The IEEE-USA's "How Engineers Make a World of Difference" video competition for undergraduate students awards winners scholarships of up to $2,000. Deadline: January 21

Barry M. Goldwater Scholarship and Excellence in Education Program
The Goldwater Scholarship is for students who will be college juniors or seniors pursuing careers in math, natural sciences, or engineering. Scholarship covers up to $7,500 in tuition, fees, books, room, and board annually. Deadline: January 27

Utility Wind Integration Group Scholarship
The Utility Wind Integration Group provides one to two $2,000 scholarships each year to undergraduate students at accredited engineering schools pursuing careers in power engineering with a focus on wind generation. Deadline: January 28

YWCA Ames-ISU Scholarship
Each year, the YWCA Ames-ISU Scholarship program awards a $1,000 scholarship to one female undergraduate or graduate student. Deadline: January 28

NEW! U.S. Electric Power Engineering Scholarship
The IEEE Power and Energy Society is offering G. Ray Ekenstam Memorial Scholarships up to $5,000 each for undergraduates seeking an electrical engineering degree in the field of power or a related discipline. Deadline: January 31

Microsoft Scholarship Program
Microsoft Scholarships are open to undergraduate students with an interest in the software industry. Scholarships cover partial or full tuition. Must apply for Microsoft Summer Internship program. Deadline: February 1

Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship
The Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship supports undergraduate women and minorities entering computing and technology fields. Applicants must be entering senior year of study and be enrolled in computer engineering or computer science program. Recipients are awarded $10,000 each. Deadline: February 1

NEW! ISU College of Engineering Scholarships
The College of Engineering at Iowa State University offers scholarships to incoming freshman, transfer, and current students. Applications typically available in December and are due in February each year. Visit the college's scholarship website for more information. Deadline: February 4, 2011

American Society of Naval Engineers Scholarship
American Society of Naval Engineers scholarships are awarded to undergraduate students in electrical engineering, among other majors. Scholarships are for $3,000. Must be a U.S. citizen. Deadline: February 14

NEW! Information Assurance Scholarship Program
The Information Assurance Scholarship Program (IASP) offers a $12,000 stipend plus a scholarship for tuition, fees, room and board. Applicants can be juniors or seniors and must commit to working for the U.S. Department of Defense after graduation. Must apply through Iowa State. Deadline: February 21

Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program
The Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarship Program provides awards for undergraduates to study abroad. Applicants must be U.S. citizens planning to study abroad and must be receiving a Federal Pell Grant. Deadline: March 1

AFCEA Young Entrepreneur Scholarship
Awards for the AFCEA Young Entrepreneur Scholarship are $2,000 per student. Scholarships are open to students in technology disciplines related to the mission of AFCEA while employed by a small business. Must be at least in second year of undergraduate program and must be U.S. citizen. Online learning students may be eligible. Deadline: March 1

Raymond G. Alvine Memorial Scholarship Fund
The Raymond G. Alvine Memorial Scholarship Fund provides scholarship from $500 to $3,000 each to undergraduate students pursuing mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering at Iowa State University and other select regional universities. Deadline: March 31

Roy J. Carver Scholarship
The Roy J. Carver Scholarship program awards average scholarships of $5,200 per student at Iowa State University. Applicants must be starting their junior year in the fall semester of the award year. Scholarships may be renewed for the student's senior year. Applicants must be U.S. citizens and demonstrate financial need and academic merit. Iowa residency requirements must also be met. Deadline: April 1

AFCEA General John A. Wickham Scholarship
The AFCEA General John A. Wickham Scholarship offers $2,000 awards each to full-time students enrolled in accredited universities and studying electrical or computer engineering. Majors directly related to support of U.S. intelligence enterprises or national security are also eligible. Applicants must be enrolled full-time as sophomores or juniors at the time of application. Deadline: May 1

ESA Foundation Computer & Video Game Scholarship Program
The ESA Foundation Computer & Video Game Scholarship Program awards up to 30 scholarship of $3,000 each to women and minorities pursuing an undergraduate degree leading to careers in computer and video game arts. Deadline: May 15

ISU Undergraduate Research Assistantship Program
Iowa State's Undergraduate Research Assistantship (URA) Program encourages outstanding juniors and seniors to pursue graduate studies by offering them hands-on experience in a formal research environment. To qualify for the URA program, students must be classified as a junior or senior by the beginning of fall semester, demonstrate financial need by filing the FAFSA, and maintain a ISU cumulative GPA of at least 3.25. First-year students can earn up to $3,200 and renewal students up to $3,600. View the application forms and other information. Deadline: Continuous

GEM MS and PhD Fellowships
The National Consortium for Graduate Degrees for Minorities in Engineering and Science (GEM) offers an MS Engineering Fellowship and PhD Engineering Fellowship program. Program includes stipend, paid summer internship opportunities, and other perks. Deadline: November 15

IEEE Charles LeGeyt Fortescue Scholarship
The IEEE Charles LeGeyt Fortescue Scholarship is a one-year award with a stipend of approximately $24,000 for full-time graduate work towards obtaining a master's degree in electrical engineering. Applicants must be permanent resident of the United States. Deadline: November 15

National Physical Science Consortium Graduate Fellowship
The National Physical Science Consortium Graduate Fellowship program is open to all American citizens pursuing a graduate degree in the physical sciences or related engineering fields. Fellowship provides tuition, $20,000 annual stipend, paid summer internship, mentor, and lasts up to six years. Deadline: November 30

IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society Graduate Fellowship
The IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society Graduate Fellowship provides $5,000 to each student winner. Must be pursuing graduate degree in microwave engineering. Deadline: November 30

Link Foundation Energy Fellowship
PhD students can apply for the Link Foundation Energy Fellowship. Fellowship provides $25,000 per year over a two-year period. Deadline: December 1

The National Defense Science and Engineering Graduate Fellowship program plans to award 200 new three-year graduate fellowships in 2011 to students pursuing a PhD. Covers all tuition and fees, monthly stipend, and up to $1,000 each year in medical insurance. Must be U.S. citizen to apply. Deadline: December 17

Symantec Graduate Fellowship Program
The Symantec Graduate Fellowship Program is open graduating seniors or current graduate students pursuing a PhD or MS degree with interests in the area of information security, availability, and integrity. Covers tuition and fees, stipend, and more. Deadline: December 18

Facebook Fellowship Program
The Facebook Fellowship Program is open to full-time PhD students studying computer engineering, electrical engineering, system architecture, computer science, or a related area. Specific topic areas include Internet economics, cloud computing, social computing, data mining and machine learning, systems, and information retrieval. Covers tuition and fees and provides $30,000 stipend plus covers some additional expenses for travel and personal computer. Deadline: January 1

U.S. Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship
The U.S. Department of Energy Computational Science Graduate Fellowship program is open to U.S. citizens or permanent resident aliens pursuing full-time study toward a PhD. Senior undergraduate and first and second-year graduate students in engineering may apply. Provides annual stipend, covers full tuition and fees, plus other allowances. Deadline: January 11

YWCA Ames-ISU Scholarship
Each year, the YWCA Ames-ISU Scholarship program awards a $1,000 scholarship to one female undergraduate or graduate student. Deadline: January 28

AT&T Labs Fellowship
The AT&T Labs Fellowship Program provides three-year fellowships to underrepresented minority and women students pursuing a PhD in computing and communications-related fields. Fellowship covers education expenses and provides stipend. Must be U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Deadline: January 31

Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship
The Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship supports graduate women and minorities entering computing and technology fields. Applicants must be enrolled in a graduate program in computer engineering or computer science. Recipients are awarded $10,000 each. Deadline: February 1

AFCEA Educational Foundation's Ralph W. Shrader Diversity Scholarship
Full-time graduate students can apply for the Ralph W. Shrader Diversity Scholarship, which awards $3,000 each to students working toward a master's degree in electrical, electronics, systems or communication engineering or computer technology. Must be U.S. citizen to apply. Deadline: February 1

Google PhD Fellowship Program
The Google U.S./Canada PhD Student Fellowship Program offers fellowships in areas ranging from computer security, machine learning, and computer architecture to human computer interaction, cloud computing, mobile computing, computer graphics, and social computing. Applicants must be nominated by eligible university. Deadline: February 1

NVIDIA's Graduate Fellowship Program
PhD candidates in the areas of computer architecture, computer science, electrical engineering, high-performance computing, scientific computing, or other related areas can apply to NVIDIA's Graduate Fellowship Program. Deadline: February 3

Semiconductor Research Corporation Fellowships and Scholarships
U.S. citizens and permanent resident can apply for Semiconductor Research Corporation's Fellowships or Scholarships for graduate work. Fellowships are available for PhD students studying microelectronics, and scholarships are available to master's degree students studying microelectronics who are women or from an underrepresented minority. Deadline: February 15

I/ITSEC Scholarship
The Interservice/Industry Training, Simulation and Education Conference offers scholarships to master's and PhD students. Applicants must be U.S. citizens. Deadline: February 2011

AFCEA Young Entrepreneur Scholarship
Awards for the AFCEA Young Entrepreneur Scholarship are $2,000 per student. Scholarships are open to students in technology disciplines related to the mission of AFCEA while employed by a small business. Must have completed at least two postgraduate-level courses and be enrolled in an eligible master's degree program. Must be U.S. citizen. Online learning students may be eligible. Deadline: March 1

NEW! Cyber Corps Fellowships
Federal Cyber Service: Scholarships for Service for graduate students is available. Graduate applicants should possess (or be receiving) an undergraduate degree in a relevant field, with a GPA of at least 3.2. The fellowship includes all tuition, room, board, books and fees, as well as a $12,000 annual stipend. Ten awards are available. Applications are due in March each year. Deadline: March 11, 2011

e8 Scholarship
The e8 Scholarship supports students pursuing a master's degree in an area related to sustainable energy development. Applicants must be citizens of a developing country on the scholarship program's approved country list. Awards provide up to $23,000 per year for up to two years of study. Deadline: March 11

AFCEA's CSC Defense Graduate Scholarship
AFCEA's CSC Defense Graduate Scholarship is a $3,000 award for a U.S. citizen currently employed in the fields of communications, computer science, or electronics who are pursuing a master's or PhD degree. Participants in online learning programs are eligible. Deadline: March 15

NASA Harriet G. Jenkins Pre-doctoral Fellowships Project
The NASA Harriet G. Jenkins Pre-doctoral Fellowships Project provides tuition and an annual stipend, among other benefits, to underrepresented students pursuing a master's or PhD degree. The goal is to increase the number of underrepresented students in the NASA pipeline. Deadline: May 1

IEEE Dielectrics & Electrical Insulation Society Grad Student Fellowship
The IEEE Dielectrics and Electrical Insulation Society Graduate Student Fellowship provides up to three scholarships of either $5,000 or $7,500 to full-time graduate students. Deadline: May 10

IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society Pre-doctoral Fellowship
The IEEE Solid-State Circuits Society Pre-doctoral Fellowship program provides a stipend, tuition, and research support for a PhD student who has completed at least one year of graduate study in a program area of solid-state circuits. Must be an IEEE member or student member. Deadline: May 15

AFCEA Distance Learning/Online Scholarship
The AFCEA Distance Learning/Online Scholarship program offers $2,000 scholarships to full-time students pursuing a Master of Science degree through an online/distance learning program from an accredited college. Must be U.S. citizen. Must be majoring in electrical engineering or systems engineering. Deadline: June 1

NASA Internships and Fellowships
More than 200 NASA Education Associates Internships and Fellowships are available. Students who are U.S. citizens and enrolled at any U.S. college are eligible.
